Do you have a re-roofing project coming up? Re-roofing is a major home improvement project which can be very expensive and time-consuming. If it’s your first time to re-roof your home, it can be quite exciting. However, since your home will temporarily turn into a work zone, you need to consider some things prior to your re-roofing project.
It goes without saying that every construction project can get too loud. If you have kids or pets in your household, make some arrangements with relatives to watch over them so they won’t get uncomfortable with all the noise.
Also, give your neighbors a heads up before you proceed with your re-roofing project. The last thing you want to have are angry neighbors.
Make sure to move your vehicles, furniture and anything that could get in the way. Most roofers may not be able to help you move your personal items, so you should move them ahead of time.
If you have wall decors or other items that can easily fall off, make sure to take them all down. Watch out for your light fixtures as well, just to be safe.
As the roofers go on with their business on your roof, dust and debris might fall in your attic. It’s best to keep your personal belongings covered as they work on your roof.
Since your roofing contractor will be using power tools and equipment, they’ll be needing reliable electrical outlets.
While a good roofing company would make sure to leave no trace behind, it’s still better to plan your own cleanup to avoid flat tires or any other accident caused by nails or other debris from your roof.
